Take a day to head to the offshore islands, especially Deer Island for a day of fun and relaxation. Also popular are Playa Cerritos and Stone Island. Parasailing, hobie cat rentals boogie boarding, and jet skis are all available along Sábalo and Gaviotas beaches. Mazatlán has one of Mexicos best resort courses at El Cid (Larry Hughes design; 6,712 yards). This fine 18-hole, 72-par course is now open to the public. It's no surprise that Mazatlans dining scene centers around seafood, particularly shrimp. Restaurants tend to be casual, serving bountiful and reasonably priced meals. The Fiesta Inn Mazatlan is convenient to many fine dining, shopping and entertainment venues. |
